SWE HA Board of Trustees
Carolyn F Phillips, CIH (Ret), PE (Ret) CSP (Ret) is a long-time SWE member (over 50 years). She retired from Shell Oil Co after spending the last 25 years of her career there in a health and safety career. She still serves in an occasional consulting capacity. She is currently a Trustee on the SWE national Board of Trustees and served as the Chair for 15 years. She is currently serving on the SWE HA BOT. She is a SWE Past national President, Fellow and Life Member. She has also received SWE’s Distinguished Service Award. She is an active volunteer at Ten Thousand Villages, the Executive Service Corp of Houston, her church and Zonta International where she was recently Vice Chair of an International Convention. In spare time she loves to work in the garden and “fix things” or play in the sand at her beach house.

Vivienne McKitrick Vivienne McKitrick is one of SWE-HA’s past presidents. She has a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA of Zoology from UT Austin. She is a consultant and business-owner with her husband of a small Houston engineering consulting firm, Quixote Enterprises and the mother of three grown children. She is a long-term mentor to young women in engineering and a long-time member of the SWE-HA BOT.

Jennifer BellJennifer Bell has been an active SWE member since 1998. Her involvement started with the Houston Area Professional Section. By 2004, Jennifer had been elected to SWE HA President, SWE Region C's first Nominating Committee Chair and the University of Houston’s SWE Student Section Professional Advisor. Since 2011, Jennifer has dedicated her SWE time as a Society wide Leadership Coach and a member of the SWE HA Nominating Committee. Jennifer received her Mechanical Engineering degree from Texas Tech University and entered the oil and gas industry upon graduation. The first 20 years of her career, she has worked in upstream, midstream and downstream facilities. She has been involved in a number of facets of offshore and plant engineering including commercial negotiations, proposal management, conceptual engineering, new technology identification, training and project management. Bell has traveled and worked extensively internationally and lived on short-term assignments in Angola, Canada, South America, Thailand, Singapore and Europe. Bell has been recognized with numerous awards and has served on a variety of committees. Upon completing her MBA from Colorado Technical University in 2013, Jennifer has been a part time Drilling Training Specialist at Houston Community College, adjunct faculty at Houston Community College and consults to the education, energy and residential building industries.
