COVID-19 Updates

Hello SWE,
We are winding up our webinar series, so be sure to check out and register for the last two webinars. Also please vote if you have not done so already.
Again we are looking to feature SWE engineers on our social media pages. We want to show what women in engineering really look like and what it means to be part of SWE, a society that promotes women in engineering. Reply to this email if you'd like more information and would to help us showcase the diversity of what it means to be a woman in engineering.
Thanks,

Hello SWE!
Thank you to everyone who's been joining in on all of our virtual events! We've gotten lots of positive feedback. If you've been missing out, we have another Professional Development event lined up this week with professional speaker CC Sutton. And our STEM video challenge is still ongoing.
Don't forget to vote for next year's SWE-HA officers! We do have contested positions. SWE Members received an email with details on how to vote. If you missed it, our Interview with the Candidates is posted on our website.
Congratulations to our SWE Scholarship and Award recipients! We hosted a Virtual Awards banquet on Friday. While we were disappointed about not hosting the event in person, it was still a successful event, with keynote speaker Teresa Keating from Dow Chemical. You can learn more about our award winners and the event on our website.
And a couple more links for the kids!

Finally, we are doing a social media blitz, featuring a SWE-HA member each day for an entire week. We want to show what women in engineering really look like! Hi Everyone!
We hope you are doing well and taking advantage of our virtual programming! We had a good group for our first virtual PD event and had 3 groups for virtual coffee proving that virtual coffee is just as popular as in person coffee! (Ok, maybe as popular but we still miss getting together with you.)
If you've been bored lately, come hang with us, we have lots going on this week including our Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday; a Live event to informally Interview our Executive Committee Candidates on Thursday - which we promise will be less contentious than any other election event you'll see this year; and an exciting PD event on Saturday with a speaker on Personal Branding Strategies. Plus a new STEM Challenge this week. See details on all these events below.
FY21 Officer election information will be coming out this week. Members will be emailed (to the email address on file with your SWE membership) a link to vote for next year's officers. And we do have some contested positions, so be sure to vote! Not sure who to vote for? Check out our Interview the Candidates event on Thursday!
Hope you're all doing well! We look forward to seeing you at our virtual events!
